Left Party Politician Led Violent Attack on Journalists

A violent riot broke out when the Left Party’s top politician Kristofer Lundberg assaulted me during a pro-Palestine demonstration in Gothenburg, along with a dozen aggressive migrants…

When my colleagues from Insikt24 and I were covering a demonstration in support of the Palestinian people, we were first labeled as “Zionists”, and it didn’t take long before the mob violence erupted. Even though I never expressed any particular opinion about the war in Gaza, I had to endure harassment and violence from the left-wing extremists and aggressive immigrants.

The police were, as usual, far too few, and it didn’t take long before the thugs had taken control of Bältespännarparken, forcing us to flee. A threatening migrant shouted, “Zionists, we have the right to do anything!” while calling me a whore and, as is customary, threatening rape. In the background, the aggressive extremists chanted, “Escalate, escalate, escalate!”.

The most violent of all was Kristofer Lundberg, chairman of the Left Party in Angered, who tried to steal my camera while he attacked me together with Hamas sympathizer Khaled Ahmad, who was listed on the demonstration permit. Lundberg has a background as an activist within the Trotskyist sect “Rättvisepartiet Socialisterna”, which works with entryism within larger leftist groups, and he has recently converted to Islam. I will return to Lundberg in an upcoming investigation.

Kristofer Lundberg, Vänsterpartiet

This is not an isolated incident but a calculated pattern of behavior that we have seen, for example, when the conservative media channel Riks tried to report on the Palestine movement. If the left-wing extremists and immigrants become violent enough, the law suddenly becomes negotiable according to the police in Gothenburg.

The root of the problem is institutional and political. We all know that the police would not have shown any tolerance if Nazis had used violence against opponents or journalists in the open streets. It’s time for the head of Gothenburg’s police, Emelie Kullmyr, to start defending the rights of all citizens. The reason for her previous apathy remains unclear.
